Coming Soon – Android Support for the phyCORE-i.MX 8M Mini

PHYTEC is planning to release an Android BSP for our phyCORE-i.MX8M-Mini SOM/SBC which is based on NXP’s Android Q release v10.0.0_2 (U-boot v2019.04 and Linux Kernel v5.4). The BSP will include support for the core functionality of our SOM and key interfaces on our SBC including a 10.1″ LVDS touch display, SD Card, Ethernet, USB 2.0, UART, I2C, and SPI. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, interested in learning more about the phyCORE-i.MX 8M Mini? Featuring PHYTEC Ball Grid Array (BGA) SOM technology, the Mini uses a BGA instead of connectors to interface with the carrier board. This allows for reduced system cost due to no connector requirement, and a lower profile. Energy efficient, and compact, this is a great SOM for a wide variety of applications. Contact our sales team to see if it’s the right solution for yours!
