Webinar – Hello (industrial) World with Texas Instruments

In collaboration with Texas Instruments for their webinar series Process This, PHYTEC will demonstrate in just 30 minutes how to use 3 of the most common industrial ethernet protocols for machine-to-machine communication. In this webinar we use the PHYTEC phyCORE-AM64x SOM, featuring the TI AM6442 Sitara processor, as the hardware platform.

Setting up Industrial Ethernet Protocols isn’t always as easy as it sounds and PHYTEC has done the work so you don’t have to. Follow along as engineers from PHYTEC and TI show how you can accelerate your next project design with a ready to go hardware platform and easy to use software examples utilizing the phyCORE-AM64x SOM, featuring the TI AM6442 Sitara processor, as the hardware platform.

  • Introduction of PHYTEC and the phyCORE-AM64x System on Module (SOM)
  • phyCORE-AM64x Development Kit unboxing and bootup
  • Pinger Demo: Demonstration of EtherCAT, EtherNET/IP, and Profinet board-to-board communication comparing ping times, latency, and reliability
  • Choose PHYTEC Design Services with cost-optimized solutions for custom hardware, software, prototype and first article validation units, even Turn-Key product development.

The demo walks through out of the box examples to connect, communicate, and test board-to-board communications. The PHYTEC Pinger Demo utilizes three phyCORE-AM64x development kits (System on Module and reference carrier board) to communicate via EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet.
