Potential disruption in shipping due to UPS strike

Serah Peterson 07/21/2023

PHYTEC is closely monitoring the negotiations between United Parcel Service and the Teamsters Union, as a strike starting on August 1st is possible. In the event of a strike, PHYTEC is prepared to work with alternate shipping vendors such as FedEx and DHL to ensure timely delivery of our products to our customers. For any open orders, we recommend that customers take note of the following:

  • Notify your PHYTEC account manager of any change in preferred shipping method for existing orders.
  • Orders with a “Prepaid and Add” (PPD & Add) shipping method will now be shipped through FedEx instead of UPS.
  • Shipments will go out earlier due to potential delays in transit time caused by the higher volume of packages being handled by other companies.
  • Any questions can be directed to orders@phytec.com
