I strive to be a woman who is independent, powerful, strong, sensitive, and resilient.

QUESTION: What is your position at PHYTEC?
Technical Project Manager

QUESTION: What made you want to get into your field?
I transitioned from an engineering role to a project management role early in my career path mostly due to suggestions from colleagues and managers. Now that I’ve been in the role for several years, I find that I enjoy the problem solving and variety of challenges that come up every day.

QUESTION: What is your favorite thing about being a woman?
It’s difficult to choose a favorite, but I strive to be a woman who is independent, powerful, strong, sensitive, and resilient.

QUESTION: What woman inspires you and why?
Misty Copeland and Katrin Davidsdottir stand out to me. These women are both professional athletes and have little to do with my career path, but I am very inspired by their life paths and choices. They are both extremely focused on process and excel at what they’ve chosen to do.

QUESTION: What do you believe will be the biggest challenge for the generation of women behind you?
I think we need to continue pushing the boundaries of what women can do. That is, I hope that we continue to lift each other up and challenge the status quo.

QUESTION: What advice would you give a woman who wants to enter the same field as you?
I think the advice I give to women, would be the same that I give to anyone which is you need to have patience, good communication skills, and good problem solving skills. Having a strong technical background is also a very good advantage, but not a must.
