We got a late start on summer this year in the Pacific Northwest with sunshine and warm temps not appearing until Mid June, but a lot like our Q2 agenda, when the season finally decided to show up it really SHOWED UP.
phyCORE-AM64x – A robust and reliable embedded solution designed for headless industrial communication systems, the phyCORE-AM64x is 50 mm x 37 mm and has an extensive 280-pin interconnect supporting common factory communication protocols such as CAN, EtherCAT, UART, I2C but also automation specific interfaces such as EPWM, ECAP, and EQEP.
phyCORE-AM62x – The phyCORE®-AM62x is a scalable system on module designed to be deployed in a wide variety of embedded applications from edge computing devices to industrial HMIs and to headless gateways. Measuring in at 43 mm x 32 mm, it’s one of PHYTEC’s smallest SOMs to date.
Both the phyCORE-AM64x and phyCORE-AM62x are available NOW for pre-order
After many virtual events over the last couple years it felt really good to connect again irl. Here’s where we went (and where we’re going in the fall!)
If you haven’t connected with us in person yet, you haven’t missed your chance. Stay tuned for a our fall trade shows. We’ll be traveling to Chicago for Hannover Messe, and have a few more NXP Tech Days in the pipeline. More details to come!
PHYTEC launched two new demos in Q2 featuring of our new System on Modules:
The Plotter – Powered by our phyCORE-AM64x, The Plotter is an Industrial Ethernet demo by PHYTEC that brings together EtherCAT stacks by Kunbus, PLC programming by CODESYS, the latest AM64x/AM243x silicon from TI, and AWS IoT Greengrass services enabling fleet management to showcase real-time motor control synchronized across a daisy chain of independent systems.
Smart EV Charging Station – Powered by our phyCORE-AM62x, the This demo showcases robust connectivity options for fast, flexible, and secure data transfer. We got this demo done in record time collaboratively with our partner, Texas Instruments. Read a more in-depth breakdown in this blog post.
Have you removed a SOM before? Check out the first video in our Training on Modules (TOMs) series to see how. Be on the lookout for more video content and helpful tutorials.
