• Zephyr Update: Update to Zephyr v4.4.0 (tag: v4.4.0-phy1), updated from v4.1.0
• Upstream Board Support: phyCORE-RT1170 and phyBOARD-Atlas RT1170 support is now part of upstream Zephyr, along with the drivers for the DP83867 Ethernet PHY, TLV320AIC3110 audio codec, DAC12 and ICM-40627 accelerometer/gyroscope
• OV5640 Camera: Added the phytec_ov5640 shield for the OV5640 MIPI CSI-2 camera module
• SPI NOR Flash: Updated the XIP flash configuration for the MX25U12832FM2I02 SPI NOR flash

Example Application

• Application Update: Update to v4.4.0-phy1, updated from v4.1.0-phy2
• Camera Capture Example: Added a camera capture example that shows the OV5640 feed on the MIPI DSI display. Enable it with csi_capture.conf.
• LVGL Widgets Demo: The widgets demo now includes all of its tabs

Build Enviroment 

• Host Requirement: The tested build host is now Ubuntu 24.04
• SDK Installation: The Zephyr SDK and Python dependencies are now installed with west sdk install and west packages pip --install
